every great coach has some tragic flaw and Saban's is Auburn (Bear's was TX and ND). He has his worst SEC record against them and made some bonehead coaching decisions costing games where Guz outcoached him in closing minutes twice.
Cant remember but once with Bama he has broken the point spread and I think it is true he has never beaten an AU team with 7 or more wins at Bama. Hence, add the vodoo in Lee County, this will be a dangerous trip. They ran all over us last year even being one-dimensional and saved by turnovers.
Why? Well maybe just random luck but I think more because AU has many more Alabama born players where the game means more. Really think Bama players due to so few from Alabama more up for LSU usually. The difference in emotion has been noticeable for years
