Hoops 🏀 Nate Oats on Midrange Shots Today

Nate Oats' quote from earlier today about the midrange shot in his offense: "People always say we don’t allow guys to shoot midrange. That’s not true. If you come and watch practice in the summer there’s a lot more midrange being shot. We allow them to shoot them. It’s just every few weeks I pull the guys in, go through their shot reports, see where are your most efficient shots coming from."

So let’s put this to bed. He’s said this for four and a half years now.

Ryan Williams Jr. Season Highlight - Amazing!

This young man is such a key recruit in this class and is the most important skilled player recruit since Julio Jones. As much as Julio was vital to Coach Saban's 2008 class and to his first national championship at Bama, I believe that Ryan Williams will be likewise for Coach DeBoer's first class and hopefully for a Natty.
This young man is one of the most dynamic play makers I have seen in recent high school football. This two-time Mr. Football in Alabama (as just a 15- and 16-year-old) has the football speed, quickness, open field shiftiness, hands, toughness, and football IQ / savvy to be a multi-year All-Amercian and a possible Heisman recipient at Bama. I see him as a first-year punt returner and an excellent one at that! He will also in my opinion find the starting rotation as a receiver, if not by the first game, by the time we play UGA. He should be moved all around the wide receiver positions to include the slot to keep defenses on their heels. His highlights at Bama after three seasons, we be just as terrific or even better than his high school highlights. Just watch his last season's highlights.

Hoops 🏀 College GameDay Potentially Coming to Tuscaloosa?

#15 Alabama faces #8 Tennessee on March the 2nd. Could the potentially land College GameDay for the first time in school history?

The other major games on the docket;

Kansas @ Baylor (They’ve already visited for that game this year)
Marquette @ Creighton (It’s a Fox game)

There’s a solid chance they come to the hanger for the first time.

Vacation in Boone/Banner Elk/Blowing Rock, NC area…

Just returned from a really fun return trip to this area. Highlands, NC is nice for adults but had my Granddaughters with me and this area was great!! Great food, scenery off the charts, plenty for kids of all ages and shopping galore for the kiddos and adults. Two thumbs up to the Boone area for those who are willing to drive a little further than the Gatlinburg and Highlands areas.
