No. 1 player in the state, Demarcus Riddick says Tide are making things interesting

Two Potential Good players just entered the Portal.

Mac Etienne, Forward from UCLA and Ernest Udeh, Jr. Center from Kansas submitted their name to the portal today. DeMarco Dunn a backup shooting guard from UNC has also entered the portal.

Udeh is a big freshman post that averaged 8 minutes a game at Kansas, his freshman year.

Etienne was an 8 minute a game player at UCLA and was more than a bit player.

D'Marco Dunn was a backup player for UNC that averaged about 10 minutes a game. He played 16 minutes against us in November.

Greedy Williams

There is a point guard in the Portal with a big U of A connection. Greedy Williams, the son of Brian Williams played a big part in Northwestern States program as a freshman. Greedy's life long ambition was to play at Alabama and coming out of High School in Pinson Valley, it was obvious that he was not a top recruit; however, he is very talented. I think he is looking for something closer to home and he dis play a lot of minutes in all 33 games at Northwestern State. I am told the Northwestern State played him out of position most of the season, which is one reason he is transferring. One phone call and he would probably walk on at Alabama. Greedy Williams

Make it or Break it time for Tide Baseball

After last nights come from behind win against Troy, Alabama stands at #15 in the Baseball RPI and is the 7th SEC team in the top 16. Now I know that the chances of the NCAA awarding host sites to 7 SEC teams is slight, we are probably in control of our own destiny, as far as hosting a sub regional.

It has been a long time since Alabama has hosted a Sub-Regional in NCAA Baseball. I think if we go 4-2 and win a couple of games in the SEC Tournament, we have a real chance.

Isaiah Miranda, former 30th rated player in the Portal

7'1" Isaiah Miranda, who graduated High School early to enroll at NC State, and was the 30th rated prospect coming out of High School this year, before early enrolling, has entered the Portal, after withdrawing from the NBA draft. Just like our Davin Cosby, Miranda did not see the Court, but someone is going to get a stud,

Additional secondary help could still be on the way

Along with the recent addition of Louisiana-Lafayette cornerback Trey Amos, Alabama remains in contention for UAB transfer safety Jaylen Key, who visited campus Monday. Key has visited Florida State and Ole Miss and was originally set to visit Ohio State and Oregon but has since canceled those trips.

Key started eight games over 13 appearances last season, registering 60 tackles, including 4.5 stops for a loss and a sack. He also recorded three interceptions, a pass breakup and two forced fumbles. According to Pro Football Focus, he held opposing passers to a 56.8 NFL quarterback rating, allowing 23 receptions for 273 yards and no touchdowns on 33 balls thrown his way. Key, 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, is capable of playing both deep safety or dropping down to the box.
