Big Play Ability

In my opinion we have to be able to move the ball with methodical first downs if we are going to win the SEC and make the playoffs. If not defenses will adjust and we will continue having too many 3 and outs. It's good to have big play capability but it will not be sustainable throughout SEC play. Championship teams know how to get first downs when needed the most. We could not stop Vandy simply because they had more offensive wrinkles than we could defend. 3 straight times they had 3rd and 8 and they made it each time with ease.

Football Recruiting Note on long-time 2025 TE target

Alabama remains in a strong position to possibly flip four-star Class of 2025 tight end Marshall Pritchett.

Pritchett has been a target for the new staff since he was offered back in May. He committed to North Carolina on March 23 shortly after a visit to Alabama on March 6. Pritchett later took an official visit in June and the staff is looking to get him on campus for a game this fall.

He would be Alabama's second TE commit joining California product Kaleb Edwards. Pritchett is a fan of Nick Sheridan (former TE coach under DeBoer at Washington). One to watch. Last season: 46 catches for 674 yards, 6 touchdowns.

One to watch.

Football 🏈 DeBoer, Alabama players respond to Malachi Moore's tantrum in loss to Vandy

NASHVILLE, Tenn — Malachi Moore lost his temper as the final seconds ticked off the clock in No. 1 Alabama’s 40-35 defeat to Vanderbilt on Saturday night.

Following a game-clinching first down by Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, Moore worked himself into an on-field tantrum, drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and ignoring orders from Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack in the process.

100% on the coaches and team

I would have hoped that many would hold their comments until the next day when calmer heads prevail. We as fans have the ability to say what we would or wouldn't do if we were a coach without having any accountability because our decisions don't matter. Tonight Vanderbilt won the game and as much as I hate to lose at anything I have to admit that my Bama team got beat. Bad things happen all the time and sometimes we have no control over the outcome. I thought Vandy had a great game plan and got lucky on a few plays that led to turnovers and points. If you think that you know more football than Coach Womack than I would have to venture to say, "prove it." Hindsight is 20/20 and we can all jump ship or we can do what is best and come together and support these coaches and young men. Trust me this loss stings and when I was playing in high school and college nothing hurts worse than to lose. They will learn from this and come out stronger.

No problem with #13

Pretty surprised at how ppl crucifyin malachi
Personally I'm glad he blew a gasket . That's how embarrassing and ridiculous it was . He is playing a position that doesn't take control of a game. He sitting there watching that sorry performance up close. Sure he missed a few plays . But the defensive front missed pretty much all of em. Malachi know first hand who dropped the ball and he also know saban and the standard. So what I kno is we are in deep s**t . Because we turned into miami quick fast and a hurry . No class anymore wit our ridiculous ball hawg quarterback having a dancing with the stars moment while down 2 scores to VANDY!!! everyone playing for themselves . No discipline. Therefore a simple high school play beats us cause we don't stay in lanes. Culture culture culture . GONE!! because we gotta damn hangout buddy as a Head Coach. Instead of a general

Tebow Correct

Everybody knows Alabama has the ability to be super-explosive,” Tebow said. “They have the ability with Jalen (Milroe’s) legs and arm and so many ways they can be explosive. That’s one of their strengths. But what they need to improve on to be one of the best teams in the country and to win a championship, in my opinion, at the end of the year is — can you get first downs when you have to, not just can you get explosive plays?

“But there’s so many times they had last week to put the game away if you have a better four-minute offense, meaning if you can control the time of possession, keep your defense off of the field and take away some clock, they had so many chances to do it. It’s not just, can you have a 60-yard run and explode for a touchdown? Can you have a six-yard run and be 2nd and 4. if Alabama can do that, then this team definitely goes to No. 1 (championship contender) because they have so much ability to make the big play. Can they make the consistent play and can they move the sticks when they have to?”
