I've been watching some replays of the 09 season and noticed how much more Colin was involved in the offense than basically any TE we have had since him. I bring this up because we obviously have a TE on the roster with superior athletic ability but I question if his liability in the run blocking scheme has kept him out of sets where we could create a mismatch for him? Or if our talent level at other skill positions has improved so much that we are focusing more on them?
To me I think it is the former, I think that OJ has struggled with his consistency on the edge that it is affecting how we block the edge and because of that it is more difficult to get him into traditional TE mismatches.
