We did not play well and we looked tired and slow tonight
But we won. Be happy. This was a classic trap game we lose in the past.We did not play well and we looked tired and slow tonight
Like others have said, Bama won, which says a lot about the growth of this team. No team plays their A game every game, can you win playing a B or B- games tells you a lot.We did not play well and we looked tired and slow tonight
You just got spoiled by the last 3 games. Effort was good today. Miss St played well.We did not play well and we looked tired and slow tonight
and we won
You mean the guy who led the team in points, rebounds and assists? I thought the effort was awesome.... just a lot of bad breaks and a tough matchup.Absolutely! Didn’t mean to imply I’m not proud of the team. I am. Just probably stating the obvious and maybe a little curious as to why. It almost looked as if the team were a little under the weather with the flu... don’t know the reason, just seemed like they were very tired. Particularly Herb....

foul on jp was very strange/ after the kid shot, jp patted him on the chest according to cris stewart. kinda like patting somebody on the back. it was not a foul according to cris. i can not see much so i watct and listen to the radio at the same timeI thought there were several ghost fouls called on us i the 2nd half particularly. The tripping foul called on Shack was NOT a foul, replay showed their player tripped himself. Then the foul on JP on a three point attempt gave them 3 free throws and replay couldn’t find any contact. Several others underneath their basket were very suspicious.

I don’t know if it was without intensity. I think the outmuscling hurt. Getting screened by their 2 bigs wore on the Bama guards. Plus they made their possessions as long as they could. Other teams have tried this, but they didn’t make their shots. State was making them. It’s a good game plan, but you have to make your shots and keep us from making 3s. They also made almost all their free throws. Had they shot their normal 60ish percent, the game wouldn’t have been close. The refs gave them 3 points with that phantom foul on Petty, too.Didn’t think we played with the defensive intensity we have been playing with. Not bad, just not great. Biggest problem was unavailability of two bigs. We got out muscled inside too often.
I didn’t watch but that’s a stat line you want as a coach just about any gameStat lines tell us we played a good game. State just played good as well.
Shot 46%
3 point 41% 14 hit
Steals 13
Assists 21
Free throws 85%
Out rebounded and State wanted to slow it down, but we still scored 81
