I exchanged some messages today with 2018 No. 1 overall player, QB Trevor Lawrence and he let me know that he is planning on taking a visit to Alabama for the Iron Bowl. This is notable on a number of fronts, especially considering he previously named a "Final Two" of Clemson and Georgia. He will also visit LSU for the Alabama this weekend so the Tide will have two chances to impress over the next month.
I wrote a short breakdown of his upcoming trips, which you can read here.
Here's the section on his trip to Tuscaloosa:
Nov. 26 -- Auburn at Alabama
Potential Impact: Despite Lawrence's announcement of a Final Two, Alabama didn't stop its pursuit and now that effort appears to be paying off in the form of a visit. He currently sits atop the Tide's board at the position and will be a priority of the Tide staff during his trip. With the way the schedule breaks, this will be Lawrence's second time watching the Tide play in a month so the school will have ample opportunity to impress him both on and off the field.
