5 game stretch beginning with Michigan St…

Even though it is a murderous schedule, I love the fact that we are not playing cupcakes. Having said that, one still have to be weary of cupcakes. Just ask FL. They lost to FL Intl last night in one hell of a game. I lost count of how many 3s FI made. Looking at the size differential, FL should have decimated FI. The only problem is the game is not played on a stats chart.

It would be a great test for any team in the top ten. Michigan State loses by a single point to Gonzaga who we play in mid December. Tough stretch, but hopefully we come though it with some big wins.
I guess we will know after that stretch what kind of team this will be in the SEC and in NCAA Tournament

I think we won’t know how good this team is until we see how it is playing at the end of the year. We had a great start last year, and dramatically fell off. We want to be playing our best BB in the last half of the year, hopefully, going into the tournament.

This ^^^
I wonder if the tough schedule we play is too much wear and tear on the team and they run out of gas towards the end. The good thing is (providing no serious injuries) the bench is deep. When Q returns and works himself into fighting shape, we should be even better.

Yes. These are tough games ,but everything changes when we get into SEC play. I look forward to Quinerly returning , as well.

I don’t want to win them all or lose them all. Losing them would hurt our seeding regardless. Winning them all would be tough to get beyond and could easily be a peak of the entire season.

Yes sir and right now l am just hoping for a win tonight.

ROLL TIDE

Actually, it will be a 7 game stretch. The Michigan St game is the first of the Phil Knight Invitational. After Michigan St we will play Oregon or UConn the next day. After that one we could play UNC, Villanova, Iowa St or Portland depending on how the bracket shakes out.

And ending with Gonzaga will be a tremendous opportunity and challenge. Throw in SDSt., Houston and Memphis and this 5 game stretch will be a great test for CNO and this season’s team.
Are you mike dubose? He always said “Tremendous opportunity and challenge “😜

Thank you for pointing this out…it is going to be a tough stretch of games.

The Michigan St. game is going to the one that will really measure the Physicality of the Bama Basketball team and win or lose I want to see who from Bama steps up and bangs with them on the boards.

I have watched MI ST twice and they will be a handful. We can't have Gurley firing away from 3 point land and hitting 2/9, or the 21 TOs. Q was trying to be a little too smooth last night with his passing, which led to several TOs. He has to realize the majority of his teammates are not use to his style of play yet. Both teams combined for 100+ rebounds...that's a lot of missed shots!!!
