The Tide currently sits at 16 commits and ranks 5th on the leader board based on average star ratings with a 3.81 score. Below is a quick recap of my previous picks:
4-star OL Casey Poe (TX) -- committed to Bama. Roll Tide!
4-star LB Demarcus Riddick (AL) -- flipped from UGA to the Barn. Riddick was all set to join the Tide’s class until the promise of early playing time covered in NIL dollars changed everything. Typical Hugh Freeze sleaze. Good luck kid.
3-star OL William Sanders (AL) – committed to Bama. Roll Tide!
3-star DL Isaia Faga (AL) -- flipped from Utah to Bama. Roll Tide!
I mentioned to keep an eye on 4-star OL Daniel Calhoun from Georgia. Calhoun ultimately decided to join the Dawgs but this one was very, very close. I am still a little surprised Calhoun, who was a very frequent visitor in Tuscaloosa, did not delay his decision and give it some more thought.
Here’s an updated list of 5 prospects I think will commit to Bama…
1) 3-star S Rydarrius Morgan (AL – FSU commit) -- @B Howard has been all over this one. Morgan committed to FSU back on 7/4 prior to any real push from the staff. However, said pushed has now happened. Don’t let the 3-star ranking fool you. Morgan is not only good he is ‘Bama good’. Expect him to join the Tide's ’24 class
2) 4-star RB Daniel Hill (MS) – Since the staff missed on RB Nate Frazier from Cali (UGA commit), Hill is now the sole focus at running back. Hill may not have the breakaway speed to rip off 70+ yard runs but much like Najee Harris he possesses the power to run between the tackles and the versatility to line up wide and catch the ball out of the backfield. As I previously mentioned, Saban has taken a personal interest in Hill’s recruitment and CNS typically gets what he wants. Hill will make his decision between Bama and South Carolina on August 23rd.
3) 3-star S Dre Kirkpatrick Jr (AL) – While this offer did surprise me a bit Saban liked what he saw out of the legacy at camp and feels he has the skills to contribute in the secondary so I’ll go along with it. Kirkpatrick does have offers from other P5 schools like Arkansas, Barn, Mississippi State and Missouri with the Midwest Tigers being the most competition. Once Morgan and Kirkpatrick Jr. jump on board the staff will be done in the secondary.
4) 3-star TE Jay Lindsey (AL - Mississippi St commit) – The Tide has a big need to sign a 2nd TE in the ’24 class and Bama is Lindsey’s dream school. The Bulldog staff had better be looking for a replacement for Lindsey.
5) Unranked DE Steve Mboumoua (Canada) – Mboumoua recently announced he will reclassify from the ’25 to the ‘24 class. He is a raw player but a freak of nature. At 6-4 260 pounds he is a very powerful prospect with exceptional quickness. The staff has had a lot of recent success in attracting international players like John Metchie, current Tider Isaiah Hastings and current commit Justin Okoronkwo. While Mboumoua is receiving a ton of interest from other top P5 programs he views the Alabama program as the pinnacle of college football and he's not wrong. The Tide definitely has the inside track here.

3-star LB Solomon Williams (FL) -- While not a huge position of need, the staff has zeroed in on Williams to add a pash rushing Jack LB to the ’24 class.
4-star OT Jordan Seaton (FL - IMG Academy) – The staff has addressed its needs on the interior line with currents commitments from Poe, Sanders and Ionata and now needs to add a top tackle to the ’24 class. Seaton has taken only one official so far (T-town) but Alabama has set the bar really high for his other top suitors.
2025 4-star QB George MacIntyre (TN) – This 2025 gem is for @BayouBull. MacIntyre is a frequent visitor to Tuscaloosa and always has a great time when he's on campus. I fully expect him to be an early commit in Bama’s ’25 class.
