I’m not sure there is a canned right answer to this question. While I wouldn’t ever turn down, and we certainly could always use a one and done like Brandon Miller and Colin Sexton, because they were great and ready to play as soon as they set foot on campus, but I think we need to recruit more players like, from my old school 80’s days, the Steve Alford’s and Jeff Lebo’s of HS BB. Good, solid fundamental BB players, who can shoot, and are ready to contribute immediately, but not NBA prospects, so they stay for 4 years, and hopefully don’t transfer out since they are getting good playing time out of the gate. Call it today’s new Drew Timme’s. Getting the JD Davidson’s of HS BB don’t help, because they are too raw in the beginning to play championship BB, and will leave before they develop. There is practically no time to develop players anymore, which I think is sad, but it is what it is today. Just my thoughts.
