I recently caught up with Class of 2020 Deland, Fla. ATH Avantae Williams to talk recruiting. Williams is one of the top players in the country in his class, and he has been committed to Miami for about a month. Despite his commitment, he said Alabama continues to recruit him and push for him to get on campus.
Here's what he had to say about the Tide:
On Alabama: “It was a huge offer. It opened my eyes up. I really like the coaches and the way they talk to me. They don’t talk to me like any regular coach, they don’t treat you like a kid. It just shows me that I need to step it up a little bit and it’s more business than just having fun. I was supposed to go up there this break but I didn’t get the opportunity to go so I have to wait. Maybe over the summer I’ll go up and camp. Coach Pruitt and Coach Ansley are the coaches recruiting me and we talk a lot”
