Alabama destroys LSU 105-75

- John Petty started the game 7/7 from 3 and Alabama did like they did against Arkansas and dominate from the opening tip. Alabama broke their own SEC record for 3’s made in a game making 23. Just an incredible shooting night Joshua Primo scored 22 on 8/10 shooting and 6/8 from 3, and Jahvon Quinerly scored 22 off the bench hitting 6/7 from 3. Just an all around scoring effort for the Tide.

-People talked about how good LSU’s offense was and this would be the down game for Alabama’s defense, but Alabama suffocated LSU’s offense.LSU scored 55 points with 7 minutes left when Alabama pulled their starters.

- The defense held LSU to 5/26 from 3 and 38% shooting, even though their stats got padded when the walk-ons came in while LSU kept their starters in. They outrebounded a bigger team 40-34 and still managed to score 30 points in the paint.

- There are not 17 teams better than Alabama. I’m hard pressed to say there’s 9 teams better than them right now. This team is on another level right now with a mix of elite offense and defensive play. They have now beaten Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Arkansas and LSU by a combined 108 points. That’s incredible.

This conference start has been so far beyond even optimistic expectations that its hard to believe it.

We get MSU and UK at home in the next two games. Who could have imagined we have a chance to sweep UK in 2 games and push out to 9-0 if we take care of business at home?

I'm having a hard time believing what I am seeing. I was optimistic to begin the season. I knew coach oats had brought in some talent but I never imagined this. When I saw the SEC schedule I thought we were in trouble but this team has tore up the SEC. I hope it continues. Love this team and love our coach.

This team has put their Big boy pants on since the Petty practice incident and it shows alot of maturity for this team! They are scorching 🔥 from deep, and i expect that to settle down some but this pace is really fun to watch and going to be hard to stop if they stay 🔒 in on D! Roll Tide!

Going undefeated in the conference is VERY VERY hard .... can it happen YES ... will it ... I would not bet on it.

Last night we were lights out from 3's 54% .... well over 60% prior to the last 5 minutes .... for the season we are at 36%. If we have a night where we do not shoot it well against a good team (in our 3 losses we shot from 3pt 13.6%, 24.1% and 26.9% ....... on a night like last night we can beat anyone ...

Beating down a cheater and a thug like Will Wade in their house is especially satisfying. That guy is shadier than Hugh Freeze and I delighted in seeing him have to sit down and shut up as we simply annihilated them. Cam Thomas for LSU flops more often than a euro soccer player to get his free throws. SEC referees need to learn his act. Also T Watford had a reverse sleeper hold on Reese twice, and Reese got called for the fouls. LSU plays dirty, just like their coach. Oats has the basketball team looking like they are following Saban's mantra of "make their @ss quit" - and they sure did last night. All of this without Bruner, who I thought we would really miss in a street fight last night.

So proud of this team and the fight they show. Their focus and intensity is something to behold right now. They are playing like a NCAA 1 seed in league play. Miss State can't feel too good coming to T-town on Saturday. ROLL TIDE!!!

Every year even the great teams have an off night. Hopefully if/when we have one its in conference play and gets our attention IF needed. Looks like CNO has their attention. I know the team has mine RTR

I love this team but I suspect we lose 2-3 in conference. Despite the way we’ve made it look recently nothing is easy in the SEC. we’ll have an off night or two and the opponent will be hot. Either way... this team is legit.

As well as we shot, and we shot incredibly well, I was just as impressed with how hard they played when up 20 points...30 points. It’s easy to let up effort with such a big lead; Bama did not

I can easily remember in the not too distant past when we were hoping to just win 15 or 17 games and pray for a miracle bid to the NCAA Tourney. Now I'm betting on 20 + wins and a solid seeding in the tourney.

Exactly! We saw it with Tennessee. They wouldn’t let us shoot 3s so we made layups instead.
