-Joshua Primo scored 14 of the first 16 points and end up finishing with 22 points of 5/17 shooting (4/8 from 3). He was the only player that could get a shot going so they went to him early and often, sometimes too often. Look past the inconsistencies and Primo had his best game in a Tide uniform.

-Sharife Cooper is really good. If Auburn didn’t have him today, they likely lose by 20+.

-Alabama shot 41% from the field and 31% from 3 and still scored 94 points... that’s crazy good considering. They shot 24/29 from the FT line and that is where the game was won.

-Auburn came into the the game as one of the worst teams in terms of turning the ball over and Alabama forced 20 of them, including 15 steals. They made necessary stops down the stretch.

-Jordan Bruner also had his best game at Alabama scoring 20 points and knocking down three 3’s. His tip in proved to be the game winner with less than a minute left.

-Herb Jones had a very efficient day scoring 19 points on 7/9 shooting (5/5 FT). What was most impressive about him today was his lockdown defense, accounting for 5 steals and 2 blocks. Incredible game.

Great win. These guys are playing with a lot of heart right now
Yep. A couple of those times today I thought "this is where AU sticks the knife in us" but these guys held strong. That offensive rebound Petty got for a quick put back was shear effort that we havn't seen from Bama players in a long time. When you don't see it you don't realize it's missing, but when you see these guys doing these little things you understand what has held them back for so long. Proud Petty, Bruner, and Jones are showing these young guys what it takes.

Such a fun game to watch and ultimately win. The team stats were about even on both sides. The difference was offensive rebounding and second chance points. There were bad calls on both sides.

Here’s where some of you may disagree with me. Bama needs Auburn to be good. We need a good basketball rival to push us. We don’t need it in football because everyone is our rival. Pearl has been the best medicine for Alabama basketball. The fact he made them reach a final four shows that a team in Alabama can make it. I am saying all this because I think it can happen this year for Bama. I am still fully prepared to eat crow.

No I’m with you on everything you just said man. This team still isn’t close to reaching its potential. We’ve only seen Shack light it up one game, haven’t seen Petty light it up yet, JQ still coming along, Bruner is starting to find his role in the offense, Primo too. And Ellis has had one really good game on offense but has been great off the bench. Wait until this team gets some defined role players off the bench like Ellis, and Gary. Not too mention Reese playing within himself. Sky is the limit.......and think if this team had Alex T.....

The one thing I think is concerning with this team is that at times the don’t value the ball enough. Lots of careless turnovers yesterday especially in the last 2 minutes. After we took the lead it got very chaotic when Auburn started applying the pressure we just got very careless and in a hurry. If we get in that situation again vs a top team they will take advantage of that. We have to be able to play fast but not get in too much of a hurry! We need to extend the lead and win that game by 8-10 instead of giving them opportunities.

Ball handling should improve if JQ plays. i suspect Primo has heard about his lazy passes leading to turnovers. . As the announcer said its not High School any longer. But Primo was not the only one. Can't be lazy.

Good point. I was about to make this point too. When your team only has two good ball handlers, and you lose one, this makes it tough, especially at those times in a game where the intensity increases on the defensive end.
