Alabama has confirmed two PWO prospects will join the fold. Traditionally, today would be national signing day, but with weather affecting certain areas of the US and all over Alabama, primary recruits either on campus or having already signed the Tide are all but done.
That said, Alabama has had success with players that quietly waited their turn and earned a chance to compete for the Tide, Levi Wallace being one example.
Here are two names that will join the fold this summer as preferred walk-ons:
Antonio Ross - Alexandria (Ala.) - Defensive Back
Ross held offers from Liberty, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Tulane, UAB, and Memphis.
Braylon Chatman - Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.) - Linebacker
Chatman selected to walk on for the Tide as opposed to accepting a scholarship with the University of Charleston.
Sawyer Deerman - Tuscaloosa County (Ala.) - Athlete
Deerman accepts the opportunity to walk on with the Tide over offers from Navy, Samford, UT-Martin, and Austin Peay. Deerman should be viewed as an athlete.
