Saban to his players: What are you willing to do to accomplish what you want to accomplish
Saban on the 12 new players: I think there are probably some guys who can help us.
Saban: We want to make determinations to who can play winning football.
Saban: We don't want guys to be risk aversive and make mistakes. We want them to play fast.
Saban calls Brian Daboll a good teacher and stated he has helped Jalen Hurts become a better quarterback
Saban says Daboll's organization is key to his coaching ability. Saban credited Bilicheck as being one of the most organized coaches in the NFL.
Saban said Daboll has make a good transition from the pro to the college game. "It's been fairly easy for him."
Saban says Trevon Diggs won't play both offense and defense next season. He's sticking at cornerback for now.
Saban said there are a couple of defensive linemen that can play on goal-line packages. "We do have a couple guys that can do that. We toyed around with it in the spring."
Saban on opening up against a top opponent: The players are more into it. They are more focused because they have a great respect for the opponent they are going up against.
Saban on Jeremy Pruitt's improvement last season: I think he did a fabulous job. I think statistically we were even better than we were the year before

Daboll on his offensive philosophy: We have a ton of plays we can run offensively. We try to put players in situations where they can be succesful.

Daboll on the biggest difference between the college and pro game: Coaching fundamentals is coaching fundamentals. Whether you are coaching a 30-year-old man or an 18-year-old the fundamentals don't change.
Daboll: Every good coaching staff does what their players do best
Daboll on Jalen Hurts: He's an extremely hard worker, extremely dedicated to his craft... He's really improved his feet and where he's going with his eyes.
Daboll said he was raised by some old-school grandparents and said that has helped him work with coaches like Nick Saban and Bill Belicheck
Daboll describes Jalen Hurts as "a guy that really loves the game."
Daboll on how he works with players: You teach them what to do, you show them how to do it, and you accept no excuses. That's how I was raised in this business
Daboll on his defensive background: I think learning the other side of the football... understanding the game and how you are being defended.... can be an advantage.
Daboll on the recruiting trail: I really enjoyed it. You come in from spring ball and you get out on the road and get to meet a lot of good individuals. It was really an enjoyable time for me to experience that aspect of it.

Pruitt on Da'Ron Payne: He's really worked hard in the offseason to get in better shape.
Pruitt on Rashaan Evans: Rashaan's a really good athlete. I think when he first got here he was an outside pass rusher and we will continue to use him there at times. But in order to play every down he moved inside. He's learning every day.

Pruitt: "If you don't pray, you're going to start praying when your wife's pregnant."
Pruitt said Raekwon Davis has improved since his freshman year. He expects Davis to continue to improve moving forward.
Pruitt on Alpha Dog personalities: "We're not there yet. When it comes to the leadership process, that's why you have fall camp."

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama will hold Fan Day today on August 5 at Bryant Denny Stadium. The two-hour open practice is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM followed by an autograph session featuring players and coaches at 4:45 PM.
Saturday will also be Media Day, which will take place in the morning. The Media will have an opportunity to speak with Head Coach Nick Saban, Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, and Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll.
