-Alabama was without their top PG, but it didn’t matter as they used a late run in the 1st half to take an 7 point lead into halftime and ultimately win by 15.

-Keon Ellis was my player of the game as he replaced the 16 points JQ was averaging the previous 3 games and played incredible defense. Confidence is key with him and he showed why the staff claimed he was one of the best players on the team before the year.

-This defense is becoming a very good defense before our eyes. They are close to moving to top 30 in defensive efficiency in the country and have really picked up the intensity on that end. Herbert Jones is always a lockdown defender, but Primo, Ellis, and Petty have all blossomed into great defenders as well.

-This isn’t just a throw it up and pray offense anymore. This team is driving to the basket and getting there at will at times. That is what is opening up open outside looks and getting them to the charity stripe more often. Oats probably saw the lack of motion or movement and forced them to drive instead of looking for the open 3 constantly.

When I saw the SEC schedule for Bama when it came out I thought for sure these two games were loses. These two wins are the most significant back to back wins we have had in a long time. And they didn't even sneak them out at the end of the game. The game tonight was a blowout. Consider me buckled up. Now the question is can they be consistent. Roll Tide!!!!!!

Our top 5 scorers tonight had 16,16,16,15,& 12 pts=75
Those same 5 had 30 in the 82-64 Ole Miss win.

This team keeps me thinking from game to game..
What if Quinerly played?
What if Reese ever starts making 3s?
What if Primo scored some tonight?

How good can this team be if everyone starts clicking?

We have potential.

I hear you man. What if we made more FT's? What if Rojas didn't insist on leading a one man fast break 1 or 2 times a game? As I sit and watch I'm obsessing on the negatives. The needless, totally avoidable TO's. Forced shots by Shack careening out of control. But, we just keep building our lead lol. I need to try and enjoy the wins more. I've been conditioned for decades to expect us to blow any lead and find a way to lose. Suppose I'm mentally preparing myself so the L won't sting as bad. But that's dumb and winning big games needs to be soaked up. So proud of the guys and I don't doubt CNO asserting some authority last week has everybody's eyes on the prize.

The losses we’ve experienced have brutally prepared us to always brace ourselves for the worst. I love this team right now.

Great win tonight! A few weeks ago I would not have believed 3-0 was possible given how dysfunctional we looked and how much trouble we had against Clemson and Stanford. This isn't the same team for sure. It was huge to do it tonight without JQ who had been a key part of recent games. I know the Gators were missing their key player but they were still winning big games without him.

Like many of us I'll have a hard time relaxing and enjoying watching it until we find a way into the tournament and make a little noise. We've seen great conference starts go bad in Feb countless times since the late 90s.

I don't know when it happened but I went from a very serious fan who was angry when we would lose to someone who is very optimistic (my imagination) and I feel kinda drunk while watching Bama basketball.
It's become kinda comical over the years but I love it!
I soak it all up, there's something special about Bama basketball

I am telling you. This is a winning team. To win this big without Quinerly is insane. I thought Florida was going to press the whole game which they basically did. We had a few turnovers, but not many. Primo had a terrible game, but Ellis picked up his slack. So fun to watch this team adapt to what the other team is doing and then press the gas to floor. They absolutely abused Florida.

Keon becoming a confident player on both ends is huge for us imo. He really did play pretty fantastic tonight without forcing anything. I had expectations preseason and prior to UF was underwhelmed but I believe tonight was the first of many such games for him. Listed at 6'6. Obviously 6'4 lol. It's fine I'm just saying.

I know, I absolutely hate it when we get a big lead with 12 minutes left on the clock. It just seems like too much time and I set there ringing my hands with anxiety hoping they don't screw it up. It shows what a good defense and non-lethargic offense can do. Looks like I need to relax and enjoy the game.

We have a coach guys. All of the excuses that we have used over the past 15 years still exist but Bama has a coach now that can make these guys come together as a team. Don't know that I'll ever let my guard down and just assume Bama will win but with 12:00 left in the game last night I felt myself acknowledging the significant difference between the two teams.

First 3-0 start in the SEC since the Sweet 16 team. 2nd year. I believe Coach Oats has earned some kudos.
Actually, not since the 86-87 season. We started off the 03-04 season with a "L" to LSU in conference play.

I thought the commentators nailed it last night with the houston rockets analogy. Analytics ball 100%
