Glad the ladies kept it close. Abrams being out made a tall task nearly impossible. We should be able to finish the season strong, as the schedule definitely lightens up now that we have the big 3 in the conference out of the way. We’re currently projected as an 8 seed in the NCAA tournament. Hopefully we can improve on that with a strong close out to the regular season.65-52 final. South Carolina was just too tall and had too many second chance points. We missed not having a big on the inside, with Abrams out.
I know it will make a lot of people mad, but I saw a well coached team out there today. They maintained good spacing and had a good game plan. You cannot coach height, as you either have it or you do not. Missing Abrams was the difference in the game. Their second chance points murdered us and were the difference.I watched most of it. Their size and athleticism combined is just crazy. We played them well. Their 2nd chance points and bench points were unreal compared to ours.
It was a decent effort against probably the best team in the country. Not sure having Abrams would have resulted in a win but perhaps closer.I know it will make a lot of people mad, but I saw a well coached team out there today. Dawn Staley would not have been successful at Alabama, as we would not have matched the level of support that South Carolina provided Coach Staley. It was a decent effort against probably the best team in the country. Not sure having Abrams would have resulted in a win but perhaps closer.
Just think/ Mal Moore declined to hire Dawn Staley back in the day. And now we know the rest of the story.
How much support did she really get in the beginning before she ever won anything?Dawn Staley would not have been successful at Alabama, as we would not have matched the level of support that South Carolina provided Coach Staley.
South Carolina fans and support showed out in droves when she was hired sure thing champ!Dawn Staley would not have been successful at Alabama, as we would not have matched the level of support that South Carolina provided Coach Staley.
She wasn’t relegated to a ninety year old gym.How much support did she really get in the beginning before she ever won anything?
I get the feeling she wouldn’t have let the best players in the state leave every year. She wasn’t relegated to a ninety year old gym.
Perhaps/ the administration at Alabama certainly paid zero attention to women’s basketball for about 15-17 years. But Staley would have recruited the state better.Dawn Staley would not have been successful at Alabama, as we would not have matched the level of support that South Carolina provided Coach Staley.
