luverne al
pleasantly surprised me last nite. i thought he was gonna be really good when we signed him, but with his like of playing time i figured he most have not been as good as expected. i thought he looked pretty good last nite

with bruner out and rojas having problems with turn overs ambrose hilton might be needed and i like the way he played last nite

Watching him and Miles play got me thinking how much better we are now compared to a few years ago.
There's a really good chance they would have started for Bama then.

Hylton reminds me of a young Donta.
Yeah except Hilton has a frame like an NBA forward. Donta one of my favorites of all time but he was too thin to push people around. Hylton may turn into the punisher on defense

With Bruner back I would agree with you @Sweetlou10 . If Reese isn't fatigued or in foul trouble there is no upside to Rojas taking his spot. It feels like it has been two months since we marveled at Rojas' energy in his lone good performance. I won't bash the kid because there are some good things that he could bring if there were no better options but Reese has come to grips with the fact that he is needed to facilitate and frustrate whomever he is guarding and not take 10 shots a game. Rojas seems to think this team needs him to get 12 points a night. With Reese getting the extra time I think he'd hit the 8-12 point mark most nights.

I’m gonna have to go ahead and sorta... disagree with you there

Agree Mike he gave us some good minutes. We gotta have some big boys who can get boards in those games where teams keeping pounding it inside. We also need a presence who can finish around the rim like Donta used to do. Sometimes Bruner gets cute and goes up soft and gets swatted, he's too big to let that happen. Rojas is still German for turnover. Dude is out of control but good for fouling the hell out of people for a few minutes here and there. He's always has that look of disbelief after he basically murders someone. Dude does play hard though and may need an enforcer in some games down the road.

Ambrose-Hylton reminds me a little of a recently born colt with gangly legs who is just finding his way into the world. But you can tell he's got the pedigree to be a thoroughbred. He could be our future answer to a big man in the paint who can get out and run.

Ambrose deserves Rojas minutes

Agree 100%. Rojas was billed as a big who could hit the three, which is the only reason I can imagine why he's gotten significant minutes over Ambrose to this point. But thus far Rojas hasn't proven he can do much of anything on offense, so I'd just assume Ambrose get some of that time.

In all fairness to Rojas, I'm sure missing an entire season was not easy, and in my non professional opinion he seems to be trying way to hard to make something happen. Especially on the offensive end.
