The past year when I was blackballed I was on another site. I have gotten more inf on BB this past week than all year there I really appreciate the news. Looking forward to seeing these guys play.

For me, @Jordan Harper is the Cecil Hurt of basketball! Sorry, but that's my opinion.
Never apologize for your opinion my man, I adamantly disagree with you as I would think JH would as well. I will say this about Harper though, he seems like a very nice young man and he is damn good at what he does, but in my opinion it would take anyone years and years to to be in the Cecil Hurt category, but that’s just my opinion.

Cecil was a legend. I doubt anyone will fill his shoes.
Can't count how many times something has happened in the world of Bama sports and my first thought was something along the lines of "what's Cecil's take on this". He was probably a bigger Bama basketball fan than football so in a way his failing health right as Bama basketball got respectable again was Shakespearian tragedy. Through all the years of Hobbs, Gottfried, Grant, and CAJ I would guess the list of basketball games he didn't see in person was pretty short.
That's a huge leap! I can see where Jordan would remind someone of Cecil, but he has to have some more experience and articles to be considered there. Harp is a good one, but I bet he would agree with me.
I’m flattered by that, but Cecil was a friend of mine and I could never fill his shoes. He was gracious enough to hop on my podcast (Double Dribble Podcast) a year before he passed away and I’ll always be grateful of that. He’s an absolute legend and I hope to be half the journalist he was.
Cecil was a rare treasure - a true wordsmith with grace, diplomacy and common sense. He knew what to say and when to say it, and if Cecil said it you could take it to the bank.
From what l hear Cecil was trusted by Saban and Oates. Also l understand from older people that he was trusted by every coach from Bryant thru Saban. Wimp trusted him and considered him a close friend from what l have been told.

I agree with everyone. I will say that @Jordan Harper, when I peruse the boards, I would always look for anything Cecil first followed closely by your take on our basketball team. I've been doing that since you've been a poster on this site and am very glad you're back. If you're looking for a fan club president . . . .
