Oof, he's been the one constant for basketball going back to the early 00s. Going to be weird not having him around. Probably going to hurt local recruiting a bit as well as I'm sure he's been the primary contact to most of the in state and neighboring state High Schools.

OTOH good for him if he can get a HC spot.

In a perfect world Pettway gets a HC job and has tremendous success pretty quick and by the time CNO packs it in and heads north Pettway has enough experience to head back home and win some championships and we all live happily ever after.

Makes one wonder why none of these assistants were not offered Head Coaching opportunities that is until Alabama has the year they had!

There are lots of good assistant candidates out there. I have complete confidence in CNO’s ability to hire a great staff. It is an incredible compliment to CNO and our program to have assistants leave for quality HC opportunities. If they were leaving for other assistants jobs that’d be different!! Jordan can probably tell us who would be the best candidate(s) to replace AP if he leaves.

Plus right now is a critical time for us finishing out our roster. Coach Oates not only is looking for coaches, but has absolutely no help in recruiting out of the TP. He's got his work cut out for him for sure.
