im starting to feel like one of the old timers on here. milso and xcop i know yall remember that.
Looney was an outstanding athlete. I remember our coach saying he was the best freshman he ever saw play in high school.
And Robert Scott was another freshman guard,I believe.
This game was in Birmingham as part of a double header with Auburn playing Jacksonville University.
Bama was down big early but came back to win big.
That dunk did get the crowd going.
I was fortunate to be there-the coliseum was packed.
The next day we beat the barn in football 38-7!

when looney went to bama in 76-77 season bama`s roster was loaded with good players. they had a couple from my hometown of russellville bonds and bragwell. i have heard stories of bragwell and looney that would get most people locked up. i1ll leave it at that.
bonds transfered to jax state and had a good career. looney went to uah. bragwell left bama after a couple of years and did not play anymore.
