Guard play is always huge come tournament time and we have the best backcourt in the nation. Still don't think they come close to 16-2 in conference but Oats' style, regardless of talent, will always make them a threat in the tournament.

We are a few rebounds away from being something ridiculously good. Some toughness down low. A guy we can count on to move or equalize someone like 13 who dominated us. Gives the staff something to work on. This team is going to need something to fix that in big games this year. Bediako will need help because of his youth and strength, even though he's making us much more complete. That being said, Iona made us look pretty average. We'll have our ups and downs, but hoping this is now the team we're becoming.

The excellent coaching is evident in the way the team is playing and the progress they make. While the team needs to get better to finish well, Oats has shown ability to coach players and team to make them better and he is very specific about what he does and how, like another coach at UA. We will see if he keeps it going. I’m betting yes. So fun to watch good UA basketball again.
