They learned that an absolutely top of the line coach is invaluable. A price tag can't be put on it. Look at what Saban has brought to UA either directly or indirectly. We are now one of the 2 or 3 richest athletic departments. Donations are way up. Facilities are the best around. Enrollment is through the roof ( yes I think Saban has at least something to do with that ). In short we are at our apex from a financial standpoint. And that's just a start. Saban played a big role in all of it.
That's why I think we will go as high as $4 million or more if we have to to get Marshall. Because Battle and the higher ups at Bama know just what it means to get a coach of his calibur. Because they've seen what it means with Saban.
