Somebody explain to me like I am 5 why a kid would declare for the draft and enter the portal when he plays for a perennial top 10 team?? Are these upper tier kids just doing it so that all of their options are open? NIL driven??has heard for bama. big time player.
i think he will pull out of the draft but i see your point.Somebody explain to me like I am 5 why a kid would declare for the draft and enter the portal when he plays for a perennial top 10 team?? Are these upper tier kids just doing it so that all of their options are open? NIL driven??
Are you a bigger fan of Avery or GrantWhile I am not a huge fan of the CNO’s system I believe Mayer would be great in the CNO system and make us a better team.
Grant for sure. Are you a bigger fan of Avery or Grant
Me too. My favorite part about Grant was that one time we went to the final 4 of the NIT. Or maybe losing to creighton in the first round of his only NCAA tournament appearance in 6 years.Grant for sure.

How do you feel about the nights when we miss 37 3 pointers, but keep firing away?My favorite was the time we scored 37 points in a basketball game
That eventually one will go inHow do you feel about the nights when we miss 37 3 pointers, but keep firing away?

3 years, 2 conference championships, one sweet 16, two ncaa tournament appearances, top 5 recruiting class. Fire away. We had one of the most efficient offenses in the country last year. How do you feel about the nights when we miss 37 3 pointers, but keep firing away?
Oats has won one conference championship. The other one you’re referring to was a tournament title, not a league title. Missed the tournament one year, and got smoked by an 11 seed in round one this past season. His second season was very successful, the other two not so much. Time will tell if year two was just an outlier.3 years, 2 conference championships, one sweet 16, two ncaa tournament appearances, top 5 recruiting class. Fire away. The tournament championship is a conference title. I want you to seriously think through this. Grant’s best season in 6 years was equivalent to Oat’s third year that you deem “unsuccessful.”Oats has won one conference championship. I’m not comparing Oats to Grant, and I certainly never said that season was more successful. At least we were competitive in the game against Creighton versus getting smoked by a very mediocre Notre Dame team. The tournament championship is a conference title. You said you prefer Grant over Oats. I’m sure if the Nortre Dame game was more “competitive” you would completely change your tune. I don’t know a single fan who looks back on the Grant years and says: “Hey, at least we were competitive against Creighton in his only tournament appearance.” Btw, I really like Grant and have a lot of respect for him. But, some of y’all’s dislike for oats is just beyond bizarre.I’m not comparing Oats to Grant, and I certainly never said that season was more successful. I have never said that I prefer Grant over Oats. Don’t know where you got that. I’m not a big fan of either to be honest. I pull for Dayton to lose now that Grant is there.Yo

Dude my bad. Got you confused with UAgolf.I have never said that I prefer Grant over Oats. Don’t know where you got that. I’m not a big fan of either to be honest. I pull for Dayton to lose now that Grant is there.
Pardon me…I believe you falsely accused jtr4dad of saying that he believed Grant was a better coach than CNO and now you are saying the same about me?Dude my bad. Got you confused with UAgolf.
And still win most of those times and shooting those 3's have us actually making the big tournament not thr NIT.How do you feel about the nights when we miss 37 3 pointers, but keep firing away?
Oats top 2 seasons vs grant top 2 seasons, which would you prefer?Oats has won one conference championship. The other one you’re referring to was a tournament title, not a league title. You literally said it in this threadPardon me…I believe you falsely accused jtr4dad of saying that he believed Grant was a better coach than CNO and now you are saying the same about me?
No, I literally did not say that. If you need help reading this thread maybe you should ask a 10 or 11 year old who can assist you in understanding how the word “literally” does not fit in another of your very false claims. Sweet you are developing a track record of dancing around facts to fit your difference of opinions. You literally said it in this thread
You said you don’t prefer Oats’ system. Quickdraw asked if you’re a bigger fan of Avery or Grant. I took that to mean Avery or Grant over Oats. You said Grant. If I’m mistaken then I apologize. Now, if we want to dig up some posts and see who speaks more like a 10 or 11 year old we could do that. It’s been pretty painfulNo, I literally did not say that. Fair enough. I agree. Sorry for derailingHow come every time someone post about a potential transfer it gets hijacked by people who want to fight about how right they are about a certain subject. Yes this is a message board and we are all here to discuss Alabama basketball but if you want to argue back and forth about which coach is best then start a new thread so if new info comes in about a certain player we can all read about without having to scrolling through an argument. Thanks and Roll Tide!!
You have been a great basketball fan and a solid contributor to this board for many many years during both good times and bad, you talk about what you want to talk about!!Fair enough. I agree. Sorry for derailing
We rarely do that. And we'll continue to get better at that part of our gameHow do you feel about the nights when we miss 37 3 pointers, but keep firing away?
I appreciate it, but I have noticed I’ve become a bit more argumentative lately. Need to chill a bit.You have been a great basketball fan and a solid contributor to this board for many many years during both good times and bad, you talk about what you want to talk about!!
