While Auburn's trees may have been poisoned and even burnt to a crisp, the Bear Bryant tree is alive and well. There has never been a better time to be an Alabama fan. We're winning at nearly every sport. Bear built upon a tremendous foundation that he was a part of very early in his life as a player. Countless coaches have gone on to great success having coached or played for the Bear. Danny Ford, Jackie Sherrill, Bill Battle, Coach Schnellenberger, etc. Coach Mal Moore became AD and made a momentous hire in Coach Saban. As one writer wrote, Saban could not do what he is doing without Alabama and that stage was set by Bear. We now have some of the finest coaches around in Coach Murphy, Former Coach Patterson, Coach Avery Johnson, the Golf Coaches, Track Coaches, Row Tide Row, Coach Greg Goff, Coach Kristy Curry and so on. AD Battle makes a momentous hire in CAJ, Kristy Curry and Coach Greg Goff. Long live the Bear!
