...against the highly ranked Bulldogs this weekend? Alabama basketball or football? Or are you leaning to G in both contests?

I think Bama loses both but if I had to bet money on one winning it would be football. If Bball was running and gunning like last season I'd give them a much better shot at shocking the Zags with their style of play. However, this team has shown that their pace of play can be dictated. Not good when going against a big time program with a talent such as Timme. Their guards are nothing to sneeze at either.

You should have made this a poll. I think we lose both also, but I think our chances are greater in BB. If we shoot well, like we did in our last game, I feel we have a good chance. I think the odds of that happening are greater than the odds of our OL being able to all of a sudden handle Georgia’s front 7. Reason why? Because I have seen this Bama team shoot well in a few games in the past month, but I have not seen Bama’s OL be able to handle lessor front 7’s than Georgia’s(Auburn, Arkansas, LSU) in the past month.

I believe both games are winnable and we could lose both. Our football program has won a lot of big time games but I am not sure we are ready in basketball to beat Gonzaga in Seattle.

Winning both might make it move, but that’s not happening, I’ll take a win on either side.
More realistic on the football side. I don’t think we get beat badly either way.

Football- first game that I can remember going in that my gut feeling is we don't have a chance and Bama will get smoked..not even close.

Basketball- I fully expect to win, even though I'm smart enough to know it's highly unlikely.

I agree. We have the makings of a good BB team. A lot of work still needs to be done though. When you see teams like Georgia take down Memphis, you know we have a fighting chance with our team against Gonzaga. Every year in the tournament you see much less talented teams beat powerhouses. You just don’t see that anywhere close to as often in football. I think our odds are longer to pull off an upset in football. They are just different sports.

Bama will play very well against Gonzaga. Not the best showing at the tournament + a week of practice. They will be ready to play.

I think we most likely lose to Georgia. However, I don't think there's much chance we stay within 20 points of Gonzaga. Hope I'm wrong!

If Dayton can beat Kansas, and Georgia can beat Memphis, than anything can happen in one BB game, especially when you have a good team. In the last 28 P5 and American Association (the league Cincinnati and Houston play in) championship games, the favored team has won 27 times. I don’t think we win either today, but I still believe our BB team has a better chance of pulling out the W.

Hope you're right, man! Just don't think we have the personnel to deal with Holgrem and Timme. This would be the time to stretch them out with some midrange jumpers. If we go pure 3's or layups it's going to be an absolute block party at the rim.
