I credit this senior class with playing a major role in changing the culture, and getting things turned around, but I think we will be more talented from this point on.

We will be significantly better down low next year, and also better ball handling. I think when we look back this will be Oats worst offensive team.
Hopefully everybody hangs around and we should really be loaded next season with a solid mixture of experience and young talent.

Rotation could look something like
Guard
Quinerly 6-1
Shack 6-3
Primo 6-6
Ellis 6-6
Davison 6-3
Burnett 6-4

Guard/Forward
Miles 6-7

Forward
Gary 6-6
Tchikou 6-11
Bediako 6-10
Ambrose-Hylton 6-8

That would be a really nice group. @Harper41 thoughts?

You forgot Langston Wilson 6-9 in the forward group. I’m really excited to see what he brings to our front court next season.

miles might not get much playing time.

This team won the SEC REGULAR SEASON AND SEC TORUNAMENT .... and went to the Sweet 16.

Everyone will be able to say this or that team is more talented ... but for a team to be better they must accomplish more on the court than this team did.

Will we have a player like Jones who would do all of the little things ... will we have a player like Petty who was known for offense but became a very good defender .... more talent does not always translate to winning.

I remember a football team who were the defending NC and had the same QB back plus Richardson, Ingram, Lacy at RB Julio, Maze Norwwod at WR .. Barron, Kirkpatrick, Hightower, Mosely, Darus, Chapman, Lester, Millner etc... on defense. We went 5-3 in the SEC ... take away CNS's first year at BAMA and easily the WORST season of his tenure at BAMA but arguably the most TALENTED team.

I agree how talented that team was, but it had so many off the field issues, injuries and a lack of experience dealing with success. I remember walking in the Citrus bowl that year and having fun with the Michigan State fans. I told them it was unfair that they would be facing a healthy Bama team with all their pieces that day. It got ugly fast.

Better days ahead. That’s no guarantee and by saying that it’s not a jab.

The team won the SEC Reg 16-2, SEC Tournament and made the Sweet 16.

There is almost no way Oats matches that season as a total unless he makes the Final 4.

Agreed. M. State had to face some pissed off stampeding "Bull Elephants" and got trampled!

great talent at corner , but very little experience.

It’s way too early to know what we’ve got next year, but I think it is a loaded roster that may be pre season top 10. I’m not guaranteeing a regular season conference championship repeat but I think we will be very capable of having a better product on the floor come March next year. Long way to go before we even know the roster and they all have to learn to play together, but there is great talent returning and great talent coming in

Davison has a chance to start next year with how ridiculously talented he is. My starting five next year would be Q, JD, Shack, Primo, and then Tchikou. I would go small then have guys like Miles and Gary that can come in to help with size if needed, but Primo is a big body guard who could play SF on most teams in the NCAA. Personally the teams that play small with a SF/PF playing the 5 struggle, however, if those teams play with guards (Normally a taller shooting guard at the 4) and then play a big 5 (a normal center) they have success. Plus there wouldn't be a guy out there who wasn't a walking basket

Q, JD, and Shack make you pretty small so not sure you'd see all 3 start. My guess would be to start the season you will see Q and Shack start with JD coming off the bench. If turns out to be everything that we think he will I can easily see him cracking the starting lineup at some point during the season.

I think fans who don't follow Wilson or haven't seen him, seen his skillset are really undervaluing the dude. Our bigs this season were below the rim type guys. Wilson has a set of wings. Skinny guy but plays very aggressively and finishes with AUTHORITY. Also has a mean jumper and handles for 6'9. I agree about next season. It's jmo, but I believe we will be better on offense especially.

I can't wait to see Langston Wilson and I heard really good things about Jusuan Holt, but most of all I want to see what Alex Tcikou has.
