A lot more prospects have visited Alabama in the last few months. We've seen a lot of prospects in the 2018-2020 recruiting classes visit Tuscaloosa. A lot of new offers have been extended- some committable, several where players must still attend camp.

While we have seen a lot of rising seniors, juniors and sophomores visit Tuscaloosa this spring we are focusing on the top 2018 players who have been on campus. Some have been concerned with only three commitments. Alabama is just fine.

I am not going to mention every player at every position. I am focusing on the top players. The guys who are heavily recruited by Alabama at this time. Sure, a few players who I fail to mention who will have an opportunity to commit at some point, but let's focus on the top guys for now.

Quarterbacks

Several quarterbacks have come through Tuscaloosa this spring including Emory Jones, five-star from Heard County High School in Georgia. Jones is locked in with his commitment to Ohio State. He has taken a few trips to other SEC schools, but unless there is a major change in Columbus there is very little to suggest he will flip.

Tanner McKee, four-star quarterback from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., visited Alabama a few weeks ago. McKee appears to have a lot of interest in the Tide after the trip to Tuscaloosa with his father. Alabama has very high interest in McKee, and he wants to get back for a game in the fall.

*Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Rivals100 quarterback from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, has been considered one of Alabama's top QB targets. Thompson-Robinson has yet to visit Tuscaloosa, and isn't likely after revealing his top two as Michigan and UCLA with a commitment date of April 23.

Running backs

Zamir White, five-star running back from Scotland County High School in Lauringburg, North Carolina, is at the top of Alabama's wish list at the position. He's the best running back in the country. Alabama's 2017 group is the best in the country, and most talented in the Saban era.

White is a top target for a lot of schools, and most believe he will sign with UGA. The Bulldogs are certainly considered the team to beat for White, but Alabama is definitely in contention. Can you imagine the Tide's backfield group next fall if UA signs White? It could include four running backs ranked No.1- White, Najee Harris, B.J. Emmons and Damien Harris. Bama would also still have Josh Jacobs and Brian Robinson. Bo could stay another year if he chose to do so.

Alabama commitment Dameon Pierce, four-star running back from Bainbridge High School in Georgia, finally returned to Tuscaloosa last Friday. Pierce had not been back to campus since his commitment last summer.

Wide receivers

Alabama signed a tremendous WR class in 2017 as most know. They are recruiting several elite receivers in 2018 including two Rivals100 members from Alabama- Justyn Ross and Seth Williams. Both remain top targets.

Jacob Copeland, four-star wide receiver from Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, was in Tuscaloosa last Friday. He is set to return on Friday for the A-Day weekend. Alabama really likes Copeland. UA feels he has the ability to play on either side of the ball, and will let him choose. This is very big to get him back on campus for the second consecutive week

Dyami Brown, four-star wide receiver from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, is another out-of-state athlete who recently visited Alabama. He is also another elite athlete Alabama likes on either side of the ball. He considered making an early decision, but now appears he will wait a little while.

Tight End

Dominick Wood-Anderson
, three-star (probably will move to four) from Arizona Western in Yuma, was in Tuscaloosa last week for a few days. I've said for a while he is at the top of Alabama's wish list at tight end. Wood-Anderson departed from his visit with Alabama as his clear favorite. He wants to wait a little while longer/take additional visits before making a decision. I expect him to join the class at some point.

Offensive linemen

There hasn't really been too many top offensive line targets in Tuscaloosa this spring. The OL class is also expected to be very small with no more than three players.

Max Wray
, four-star offensive tackle from Franklin High School in Tennessee, visited Alabama. Wray is still a top target for Alabama, and UA will work to flip him from his recent commitment to Ohio State.

Emil Ekiyor, four-star offensive tackle from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, remains a top target for Alabama. The Michigan commitment is expected to return this summer.

Jerome Carvin, four-star offensive tackle from Cordova High School in Tennessee, visited Alabama on Friday. He is very high on Alabama, but he is not a take at this time.

Jackson Carman, five-star offensive tackle from Fairfield High School in Ohio, favors Clemson and Ohio State. Alabama is still working to get its top overall OL target on campus for a visit. Long shot for now.

Defensive linemen

Alabama will sign some talented defensive linemen in 2018. UA could potentially sign three from within the state borders. Expect Jalen Cunningham, four-star defensive tackle from St. Clair County High School in Odenville, to announce his commitment as early as this weekend. Cunningham will attend A-Day, and all indications point to a commitment before he leaves town. He is Alabama's top nose tackle target.

Coynis Miller, three-star defensive tackle (he'll move up for sure) from Jackson-Olin High School in Birmingham, and Andres Fox, three-star defensive end from Mobile Christian, grew up Alabama fans. Miller has been to Tuscaloosa a few times for unofficial visits this spring, while Fox has been once. Fox is very likely to end up in Alabama's class. Miller is torn between Alabama and Auburn. Miller and Fox are expected in Tuscaloosa for A-Day.

Alabama is very high on a pair of out-of-state defensive ends who have visited- K.J. Henry, five-star from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, and Max Wright, Rivals100 defensive end James E. Taylor High School in Katy, Texas. Alabama continues to feel its in a great position with both of these elite pass rushers. That's not to say Alabama is the favorite. Just UA is definitely in the top 2-3 at this point.

Linebackers

Bama has been very happy to get two of its two linebacker targets on campus this spring, one is expected to return on Saturday. JJ Peterson, Rivals100 outside linebacker from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia, has Alabama at the top of his list. Keep a very close eye on him this weekend. He is set to return for A-Day. Quay Walker, three-star outside linebacker from Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia, was recently in town. Peterson and Walker are at the top of Alabama's OLB wish list.

Defensive backs

The Crimson Tide has seen some elite DBs make their way to campus. UA will have to work to flip. Josh Jobe, four-star safety (recruited as a CB) from Columbus High School in Miami, recently spent a few days in Tuscaloosa. The long-time Miami commitment is at the top of Alabama's wish list. The more he returns to Alabama the better chance of a potential flip.

Kelvin Jospeh, Rivals100 cornerback from Scotlandville High School in Baton Rouge, has taken several trips to Tuscaloosa. The long-time LSU commitment has expressed heavy interest in Alabama for a long time. Jospeh can play corner or safety at the next level.

A name to really keep an eye on in the next few months is Jaycee Horn, three-star cornerback from Alpharetta High School in Georgia. Horn was in Tuscaloosa a few weeks ago. He is the son of former NFL WR, Joe Horn. He has a lot of interest in Alabama, and the feeling is mutual.
