February has quickly come and gone and Alabama finished the month at 5-2. That Is it’s best February finish in quite sometime. Here is how things stand:

-Alabama ranks 9th in KenPom with the 3rd ranked defense and 38th ranked offense.
-Ranks 9th in NET ranking and 14th SOS
-Joe Lunardi has them as the 6th overall seed in Baylor’s bracket.
-Alabama has the double bye and #1seed in the SEC tournament locked up. Looks like it’ll be Kentucky and Miss St in the 8/9 seed, although there’s a log jam in that portion of the standings. It would be fitting for Alabama and UK to play on Friday in the SEC Tournament.

If Alabama can avoid a loss in the next two games, they’ll likely have one of the top two 2 seeds locked up. That’s important in case of a deep run to avoid Gonzaga or Michigan.

I'm at the point where I'm not even gonna think about who the #1 seed is because I'll be pumped if we even get the chance to play them

weird year, with so many blue bloods on the bubble, it feels likely we will get a blue blood in game 1 of the SEC tournament, and a pretty good chance we’ll get one in round 2 of the ncaa tournament lol. Leave it to us to have a great year, earn a 2 seed, and play North Carolina or Michigan State in the 2nd round 😂

Agree completely. That is really not much of a award for being the number one seed.

Not big on Bama facing Kentucky in their 1st game of the SECT. Tough to beat a team 3 times (or two) in basketball and Kentucky has to win the SECT to make the dance.
