Alabama improved in multiple areas after the thrashing of LSU last night. They’re in the elite category in multiple areas that are judged by the NCAA Committee.

- Alabama now is #11 in the NET ranking, up 7 spots before last nights game.

- Alabama ranks #10 in the KenPom rankings

- Team Rankings still gives Alabama a 100% chance to make the NCAA Tournament. They also have them at 84% chance to win the conference and land a #2 seed at 37%

-Joe Lunardi said with two wins this week he would likely move Alabama to the 2 line. That’s incredible to think about.

Just two years ago, Alabama lost to Norfolk St and fired Avery Johnson. People scoffed at hiring Nate Oats. Now he has Alabama on the ranked in the top 20 and 7-0 in the SEC.

This season has been a bit of a roller coaster...I think a lot of people were excited and realistically hoping for big things this year (myself included), then early losses seemed to dash those hopes with the team appearing to be another disappointing squad, then like a white squall this team took conference play by storm and put all those high hopes back on the table...really an amazing journey so far.

This team has really improved every single game they have played. The chemistry is there now , while not so much in the first month of this season. Barring more injuries, they will be hard to beat for the rest of the season.
I hope some of our recruits are paying attention.

This team is really hitting on all cylinders. As much as I love what’s going on right now I hope they can maintain and grow this season. If they were this hot going into the tourney I’d fully expect an elite 8 appearance with a possible final 4 shot.

Crazy to think about the position this team is in. Gotta give tons of credit to the players and coaches. Said it before and I’ll say it again, we’re still not playing at the highest level possible. This team has a chance to make a very deep run in the postseason.

Thanks for this thread Harper. It's truly amazing what Oats has accomplished in such a short time. As many of us are saying, we are looking at AD Byrne for the announcement of a massive Oats extension and plans for a new basketball only stadium asap. What a homerun hire by Byrne. Football recruiting will feed off a great b-ball environment and vice-versa. Now is the time to lock this in and enjoy a golden age of Bama sports like never before (yes I am probably irrationally high on Oats and our program).

I see Bama just has to cover 10.5 points vs Miss State tonight. Giddy up.
