Brandon Miller snubbed by SEC for award after controversial week

LOL. This is not at all surprising but funny all the same.

The SEC wants no part of the media circus that's still throwing crap against the wall about Miller. None of it is really sticking but it isn't stopping them from trying. The conference just wants it to go away.

Look at blind resumes for that week and no one else would even be in the discussion. Miller literally carried the team at SCe with one of the best single game performances the league has seen in years. Then he had a big game against that same Ark team in spite of everything Ark did on D being about containing Miller.

I see the SEC is piling on, even though it has been established the DA has no legal basis in which to charge Miller. Whether it was a snub or not is unimportant, because Miller does not need anymore alcolades from the SEC. He has proven himself on the court, where it counts, time and again.

He will be snubbed the rest of the year. He will not be SEC player of the Year or POY nationally

Don’t get me wrong Nick Smith had a hell of a week and those numbers are very very worthy of being player of the week UNTIL you look at what Miller did absolutely carrying the Tide on Wednesday and then having another great game on Saturday in another win over Smith’s Razorbacks.

Sadly this is the direction much of our great country is taking, I am afraid that many are now guilty until proven innocent and so many cower down to the vocal minority in fear of being labeled “bad news”. I am going to stop here to avoid getting political because it has no place here.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

Look, I know he had the best week of his short career this last week, but by all accounts, Nick Smith had a pretty good week for the Piggies. I have no problem with Nick Smith getting the honor, based on his play, which was pretty good. Heck Nick Smith almost led the Piggies to a win over Bama on the road. I have no problem with the award, just as I would have had no problem if Cason Wallace had won the award for last week. All three had a pretty good week.

Miller cannot win the award every week. I guess he could win the award every week and I hope he wins the award the next five weeks.

I would agree with Smith getting the award if the name of the award was:
“The SECond best player of the week”

ROLL TIDE!!!!

I can't argue with you on that, but really, they cannot give it to Brandon every week or should I say that the would not give the award to Brandon every week.
