I think we all knew this ship had sailed since it's almost June (if it every was really an option) but this is the first I've seen of a clear indication from Urban Meyer that Braxton is staying at tOSU.

I notice the quote from Meyer doesn't specifically say he'll be playing QB but still it's unambiguous about whether he's leaving or not.

This is a Tweet from this morning by a sports reporter at Columbus Dispatch and below that another couple from the same interview Meyer gave today apparently. Below those is an article by CBSSports.com:

Urban Meyer on Braxton Miller status: "He's playing for Ohio State (this) fall."

Meyer said "Braxton Miller is up to throwing football 35 yards now with zip". As I reported months ago, he's on rigid rehab schedule.

Meyer said he hasn't discussed Braxton Miller possibly playing another position. Said there's no doubt he'll be at OSU in the fall

Meyer said he is "very confident" that Braxton Miller can physically compete for QB job. Said he's throwing 35 yds - 25 aggressively

"Urban Meyer says Braxton Miller isn't leaving Ohio State

Urban Meyer says he'll still be coaching Braxton Miller this fall. (USATSI)

After Ohio State entered the offseason fresh off a national championship and with three very good quarterbacks on the roster, just about everybody was convinced at least one of them would be leaving, with Braxton Miller being the most likely option.

He was graduating, after all, and he would have his choice of schools to finish his college career at.

But then a funny thing happened. Nobody left Ohio State. Now, here we are, it's nearly June, and Braxton Miller is still at Ohio State. It seems pretty clear at this point that he isn't going to be leaving at this point, but that's not stopping people from asking Urban Meyer about it, and Meyer was about as frank as he could be on the situation on Friday.

"[Braxton Miller]'s playing for Ohio State (this) fall," said Meyer when asked about Braxton's status for what had to be the billionth time.

So are you convinced yet? Braxton Miller is going to be a Buckeye next season, as will J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones. Is it somewhat problematic to have three really good quarterbacks on your roster, and only so many snaps to go around? Of course it is, but it's also a great problem to have. I guarantee you Urban Meyer and the Ohio State coaching staff are thrilled to have this "problem."
