Thank you Cecil for you excellent account of the coaching search. I am
not encouraged by the rejection of professional recruiting help by the administration: penny wise and pound foolish? I wish BB well, in
his plunge into the deep dark waters of Basketball Head Coach
recruiting.
Also, your story on the game was quite good. I have never been so glad to see such a painful season come to a merciful end. A better Miami team applied the misericord dagger, even though our young men were valiant to the end. Miami exposed our weaknesses in the second half...inside strength lacking, streaky shooting, and extreme lack of depth due to injury. When Retin fouled out our fate was sealed. His Belgian friend did not waffle (sorry) in having his way to the rack, stop and pop, and hitting outside on Norris. He must have recently been reading the Kama Sutra. Well, good bye Levi, Retin and Dakota (you had your senior night at Coleman against Illinois). Good bye Coaching staff. You leave some wonderful young men, of whom the University of Alabama is proud...Good luck and thank you. RTR!!!
