I know I may get some heat for this post, and it is a controversial observation, but I am putting it out there anyway. I came away from watching the Peach Bowl with a strong sense that CFB is now, or has for some time, been scripted/rigged to decide how games will go and who will win. There were some things in the game that had me scratching my head, some plays where players seemed to be taking dives or flopping. The no call on the targeting and a few other things that I won't list here but please, re-watch the game with what I said in mind and decide for yourself. From what I observed during the game it suddenly clicked and I leaned over to my brother and girlfriend halfway through the 3rd and told them that UGA will win with a last second come from behind score. When UGA scored with time left I told them Ruggles would miss the kick. The whole game seemed like it was being set up for that, "dramatic," finish. Low and behold it happened and college football's "Cinderella," story of Stetson Bennett gets another chance to be the Hero! The way the CFB announcers swoon over UGA is absolutely embarrassing. When Bama became THE Team, everyone in CFB hated us and waited with baited breath for us to fail, bigtime CFB announcers included. Now, those same people ride UGA's n*ts like a preteen girl obsessing over a boyband crush.
I know it's easy to call BS on what I'm saying, I wish I would have posted during the game when the thought occurred. I am not convinced that all CFB is rigged yet but I am, unfortunately, starting to become a bit of a conspiracy theorist. I can't put my finger on it, but something has been different in CFB the last few years. My theory on why it MIGHT be rigged is simple. There is so much money in CFB these days and if you can control which media markets you're hitting, you can essentially inflate the amount of $ to be made off of say... a National Championship Game?
Oh well, I doubt I'll ever have a concrete answer. It would certainly be sad to find out it is fixed and all those Bama Natty's were scripted. Am I the only one that walked away from this game thinking something was off? Please let me know your thoughts on the matter, Do you think some elements of CFB are scripted?
