Coach John Bostick

Coach Bostick passed away Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa. 13 years as a Alabama Assistant under C.M. Newton and Wimp Sanderson. Followed C.M. to Vandy for 8 years then went on to Kentucky for a few as a basketball compliance guy. Ended his coaching career at Villanova in Athletic Director office. A great guy, fine Christian man that loved Tide basketball. C.M. Newton said John Bostick was the best basketball teacher he ever knew. That is powerful words from someone with his credentials. I like to think the win in Tennessee was dedicated to Coach Bostick and this Florida win put a big smile on his face. He loved a good defense and selfless play.
