said they are trying to fill our two open slots and thinks our roster may have scared off a couple of guys. a big wing that can knock down shots would be ideal. hoping to get q back around conference play.

i think i seen where tennessee was at 8 scholarship players right now so this transfer portal is affecting a lot of teams.said they are trying to fill our two open slots and thinks our roster may have scared off a couple of guys. a big wing that can knock down shots would be ideal. hoping to get q back around conference play.
Pretty sure he was talking about the walk on and KAH. Met him for the first time this morning and seems like a super nice guy. He was very gracious with his time and he had everyone tugging at him.Not sure I am buying any of these guys were “ scared”’of the Alabama roster. Especially 2 guys who went to Baylor and Michigan. Come on Nate.
the one that went to michigan would have had to go up against sears, quinerly, and bradley. the other went to nevada.Pretty sure he was talking about the walk on and KAH. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!
i meant to respond to pwest`s post.I got the impression that he was talking about guys that were on our team last year when talking about that. He did at least 4 interviews that I saw this morning, so maybe the wording was phrased different on what we heard.
Keep up the good work man, your information is much appreciated and even much more needed, thank you!!
ROLL TIDE!!!!
I really like Oats as well. I had read an article on Al.com discussing transfers and the 2 spots he still has open.Pretty sure he was talking about the walk on and KAH. I think if you are transferring you don’t want to be in competition for 20 minutes. Idk if scared is the right word choice but Bama would be a risky decision for a guy who’s wanting to be a key cogNot sure I am buying any of these guys were “ scared”’of the Alabama roster. He’s going to have to learn to guard the ball. He had some phenomenal help defensive blocks last year. He’s got the athleticism, but he just has to learn to defend the ball. Some of the blow by’s he gave up were just brutal to watch.Btw Mark Sears is a top 10 portal pick up of the off-season in CBB and add to a top 3 recruiting class coming in. I really wanted to add a 3 or 4 that could come in and start for us and we definitely struck out thus far in that attempt so I’m not trying to play the “we didn’t want them anyway” card but it’s not exactly been a failure of a roster build. We have a very strong 11 man roster right now and I do think we’ll fill the final 2 spots with somebody.
I think our 8-10 man rotation will come from the current 11 at this point though and it will be a rotation good enough to win. Just gotta have some freshman ready to contribute in Miller, Bradley, and Griffin. Miller could be a lottery pick, Bradley and Griffin both 2-3 year guys that will come off the bench this year and help us big time.
also, Darius Miles is a pull your hair out kinda guy to watch, and came on campus as a very immature kid which created a bigger developmental hill to climb for him.. BUT, he’s got the measurables and skill set to become a very good player. If the light can fully come on for him he could be the surprise of next season. I feel like he’s really close to being a great defender, really close to being a good shooter, really close to being a trusted ball handler… at 6’7” with super long arms. There’s a reason he hung around
