Hardly. It's not that unusual for top talent evaluators to find good players before everyone else. Oats was a top evaluator even in HS coaching circles.

no bullshit, he was not ranked then blewup in some camps. he is just a 11th grader that didn`t have the exposure.

It's not necessarily improvement, it's being found. Remember when Saban offered chris Jones as a 3 star and a few months later he was a 5 star? He didn't get better, he was just no attending camps so not everyone knew who he was. A 2025 kid making big jumps is not a surprise. He just finished his sophomore year of high school.
