we have a new safety coach and he will also work with the corners while saban is preforming his other duties at practice. I think we got a good one
our corner backs are going to be much improved. I am not one that thought they were not good last year. they gave up plays at times, but in this era of football it is more difficult than it once was. we were still one of the best in the league at corner back. look across the line of scrimmage at our opponents and think what coop was doing to them along with jones,white, and sometimes drake and I do not think we would have swapped corners with those guys
in base next year I look for c jones and t brown to be our starters. toni was not ready last year and it showed every game he played in. he obviously is physically gifted, a year older, and I think he and cyrus will be the best pair of corners in the league this year. Bradley sylve caught hell and lost his job after the w va game last year, but turns out he was playing against the 2nd best w.r. in the country and he fought him tooth and nail for every play. when called on later in the year he played great and saved us a loss in one game. Bradley is probably the fastest guy on the team. he will be in several defensive packages and will be a quality replacement in base if we have an injury.
I do not think marlon is quite ready yet, but he looked much improved at a-day. if we have multiple injuries I think by mid season marlon will be ready to step in if called on. I think he gets some mop up duty and with jones and sylve both being seniors he will need to be ready by 2016. I think he will be by the way. I think it will be hard for any of our true freshmen to jump ahead of any of these guys, but several of them will play on special teams and mop up duties
