There is a proposal before the Board of Trustees to invest further in Alabama's men's and women's golf programs:
The resolution is to go forward with preliminary planning for an $825,870 renovation and addition to the Jerry Pate Golf Center at Ol' Colony.
The project would renovate the existing golf hitting bays into lounges and team meeting rooms for the men's and women's teams. Two new enclosed hitting bays, four open-air hitting bays and a covered patio would be constructed as part of the proposed 2,900-square-foot addition.
Additional bid options include nutrition bars in the lounge. The project would be funded by the Crimson Tide Foundation.
