Six UA gymnasts make All-America
The University of Alabama had six different gymnasts earn All-America honors, garnering 10 total honors, at the NCAA Championships last weekend in Fort Worth, Texas.
Kayla Williams earned first-team honors on the vault and balance beam. Katie Bailey got first-team recognition on the uneven bars.
Lauren Beers was named second-team All-American in the all-around, as well as on the vault and floor exercise. Carley Sims was a second-team honoree on the vault and floor exercise. Kelly McNeer made the second team on balance beam, and Mackenzie Brannon was a second-team honoree on the floor exercise.
All-American honors are based on scores from the opening night of competition in the semifinal round of the NCAA Championships. Alabama has now collected 312 All-American honors in the program's history. A total of 69 UA gymnasts have earned All-America recognition.
