Alabama is ranked No. 4 and No. 5 in the latest polls and is No. 6 in the RPI. I'd be shocked if UA didn't get a top-eight seed, which would mean hosting a regional and a super regional if Alabama advances.
Right now I'm projecting Utah of the Pac-12 or maybe Washington as the No. 2 seed in the Tuscaloosa Regional. Texas is another possibility. I'm figuring South Alabama (a somewhat dangerous team because of a very good ace but not much hitting) will be sent to Auburn.
Alexis Osorio was named SEC Freshman of the Year. Haylie McCleney shared Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors with Devon Wallace of Arkansas.
McCleney and Osorio were named first-team All-SEC. Marisa Runyon and Demi Turner were named to the second team. Osorio and Turner were also named Freshman All-SEC. McCleney was named All-Defensive SEC in center field.
