What about Reese? Both can come back and play with this year not counting.

God please no
You really aren’t a fan. Haha!! He frustrates the heck out of me and mostly because I think all we’ve heard about him being an NBA player. Other than that I love his hustle, but just never been over impressed with his skills. I would be ok with him being back, but no way does he come back.
On another note...the SEC is bad!!

Yep. I think we have a winning sec record for sure. He has the things you can't teach. And I'd like him more if he touched the ball less. Either way, a good win tonight

We all know Nate Oats loves Herb. If he wants to come back he would be welcomed by the coaching staff.
I personally think he will try he NBA route or like Mowens wrote play overseas.
Herb may have reached the top of his potential, but I truly hope not.

He needs to stop trying to play point guard. Not remotely in his skill set. Foul trouble and missed layups.

Y'all throw around the term "layup" too loosely. What Herb is shooting are not layups. They're contested shots at the rim, and are anything but easy when you're going up against dudes as big or bigger than you.

A layup is what you get on a fast-break that's uncontested.

He is not just out there playing the position he wants to play just for the heck of it, he is being put in that position by the coaches and he's doing his best at it.

This is true, I do wish he finish a few more than he does but you're right, they are not gimmes.

Oats deserves criticism for that- buy I have seen Herb bring the ball up the court when Quinnerly and Shackleford are on the court. Why?
Herb is not exactly Magic Johnson handling the ball.

Not layups, but way too many missed around the basket for as many as he takes. I would say yes most are contested, but he’s also way out of control most of the time. Just doesn’t have a good touch and not just him on this team.

The answer is because Oats is drawing up the offense that way. A couple games ago we got the tip, Q got the ball and handed it to Herb. You think they’re just coming up with this?

I think he relishes the whole point forward concept

Then I will openly question what Oats is doing. NOTHING in Herb’s skill set says he should ever be at the point. Ball handling, passing ability, 3 point shooting- nothing. It is ridiculous.

I’m torn on this. I’ve gone back and forth from that opinion to thinking it’s actually working out and back again. I’ll say my main problem with Herb is decision making and inability to finish. I don’t see anything wrong with his ball handling. And I think that’s why Avery and Oats have both put him as a Point Forward. But he needs other parts of his game to develop more before he can really be effective in that role.

I relishes the Jessica Lucus as my concubine concept, doesn't mean I am going to get what I want.

But like Oats, I haven't given up on this just yet....

It's kind of like being open in high school football for a QB and being open in college. Herbs misses plenty of shots that would be like an open layup for a high school player.

Sorry, but next year Herb will be playing for money in the NBA.
