What are we expecting from him? Will he have major minutes once healthy? Does he start over Burnett?

i think he was expected to start before he got hurt.
Burnett is still not 100 percent looks a step slow. I think he will get better but Welch might be a better shooter.
Welch is probably the best shooter on the team and will likely start once he is healthy.
Not to be a Debbie downer, but the reported best shooter on the team is always the guy who hasn’t played. All season last year and off season Nimari was the best shooter
Nimari has never done it in college games Welch has for 3 years.
Yeah he’s like a 38% three point shooter at St. Bonaventure. Pretty solid if it translates over.
Burnett 100% was before tearing his ACL, which to be fair there weren’t any good shooters last year
I hear ya. I hope Welch is great, but I understand your hesitancy to fall for the hype just yet. We heard how great Daniel Giddens, Michael Kessens, Nick King, and Alex Tchikou were before they ever played a game here as well. Time will tell. I hope he lights in up when he's finally able to play.
Very curious to see what Tchikou does this year at Rhode Island. 2 games in hes averaging just under 8/7…
I'll be following that closely as well. He's playing over 20 minutes per game so far and shooting 75% from the field. Not a bad start.
