Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Duke women's basketball team has decided to end its season, it was announced.
I’m sure he’s holding on hoping it’ll be pushed back. But he doesn’t have as much pull as Oats.....Why are the men still playing?

I remember that, BUT what good will it do? None of the players will be remotely close enough to get the vaccine, plus the needed booster, until probably this summer. The same problem exists today, as it will then. The BB players aren’t living at home with grandma, anyways, at this time of year, or in another month, so spreading it to a more compromised person wouldn’t be a reason. Either play now, or cancel the season, and start on time next year. This constant screwing around, doing the same thing over and over again(like we have for the past 9-10 months), and expecting a different result, makes no sense to me.

I have heard that. Please read my statement above. Why would anyone expect anything to be different than today if things got pushed back a month or two. Shoot, MLB has, basically, said they don’t even plan on spring training to start until May. The players having less testing and structure is MUCH worse for them imop.

The estimate is that regular citizens will not get the vaccine until April or May. By that time it's better to just wait until next season.
I will admit he almost get me going, giving the fact that I also have had a few drinks so it doesn't take much to stir me up when that happens.
I don't have an answer. Just saying what I've heard. I guess they expect to get the vaccine soon? Coach K may have already gotten the vaccine if Oats let him.
I wish we would all get the vaccine soon(my dad got it yesterday here in Florida), but for the players, and people in my age/occupation grouping, I can’t see us getting the first shot before sometime in April, the 2nd a month later, and personally, I think it will be more like June and July, and it would not be surprising to me if it were later than that even. A lot of people to vaccinate in the United States in that time.
