As Im watching the replay of the game tonight it's just clicked for me how we are playing the read option out of nickel so much better than previous years and Foster is the key. Every time Dak and his running back lined up in tradition shotgun Foster would take one and Ragland the other. Since the d-line is dominating the line of scrimmage those two usually have a free shot at meeting either the QB or running back at the line of scrimmage before they can get going. Even if the RB goes in motion to the other side you see them communicating who will take who. It has taken so much responsibility off of Ragland with Foster stepping up and being the player we all knew he was capable of being
