I've read recently that Emmanuel Henderson has officially found a home as a WR for Alabama. I would really hate to see this guys talent go to waste being buried behind a bunch of WR depth. It's not that I don't think he is capable of winning a starting job, it's really more so that I think he offers a very unique skill set that Alabama should take full advantage of.
I get a lot of Percy Harvin vibes when I see him and watch his film, (though he played at a lower level,) and think it would be really interesting for Bama to incorporate someone like that, (and some concepts that play to his strengths.) in our offense. Henderson is a great running back, has excellent speed, instincts and hands and has now been working out at WR for the past year. I'm a little confused about the program's plans for him with that move but have been wondering if they're ultimately considering using him as an, "Athlete," rather than a pure WR.
I think using him in a fashion similar to that of Percy Harvin or how the Falcons use Cordarelle Patterson would be awesome and add another dynamic factor to the offense. All of this is, of course, contingent upon him developing into the player I think he will be, and I hope he gets the chance to show what he can do this year.
