Who do you envision filling that PF/SF spot on our roster via the portal? What are you hearing? Plus, I have seen projections that JD is not a first round lock. Will he come back?

It looks like we are in good shape with Jalen Bridges(PF) from West Virginia. I don’t see JD coming back in almost any way.
I saw where Bridges was visiting Baylor. We also missed out on the big from Princeton. I think he signed with NC State. So what your saying is JD gone…..even he doesn’t get drafted you think he goes G-League or Overseas.

Yes on Bridges. And I agree on Davison. Sadly, this is definitely a kid who could improve his game significantly by returning for one more year...his sophomore season. Two years in college? Oh the humanity.

It looks like it is down between us and Baylor. I just don’t envision any scenario where JD comes back. Even if he is drafted in the 2nd round, or goes undrafted, he is going to be playing G League ball next year imop.

We have two more rosters spots to fill. Bridges may be one. Who would be the other. IMO we need either another veteran shooter or a veteran rebounding stud. IMO, it should be a rebounder. JD and Shack got rebounds. Gurley not so much and Bediko is a fouling machine. We need a stud rebounder.

I would like to add either Antoine Davis or the post player from Murray State. Davis has finished in the top five in the NCAA in scoring every year of his college career so far, and is already 22nd on the NCAA career scoring list. His dad was a terrific player for us and he still has family that lives nearby. We'll have to battle a number of blue bloods to get him.

Mr4bama is a much better source than me. You may want to tag him. That said, I want another combo guard, who can, atleast, adequately handle the ball, but, most importantly, is a very good outside shooter. We should be fine with bigs, especially in Oats system. We have Bediako and Gurley back. We have Miller, Clowney, and Pringle coming in, and possible Bridges. We have more than enough big men. The only two players I have any real faith in handling the ball are Sears and true freshman Bradley. We only have two other guards on the roster in Burnett and Griffen. Miles is a G/F, but not a ball handler. We really play 3 guards in Oats system. We need another good outside shooter to help Burnett, Griffen, and possible Sears. Just my opinion.

I agree Codie. With our system, we need two more guards, I believe. Four is not enough.

Lewellyn from Princeton was a PG not a big, and we took Sears instead of him. I think we land Bridges and then the last spot will be filled by a body.. landing bridges would be incredible and imo round out the core of next years team

I think you will see Bediako start at the 5, with Gurley and Pringle getting minutes there

I think we’ll have a few guys that can play the 3/4 in Miller, Bridges, and Miles. Gurley will also get some time at 4

I see Burnett starting at the 2 with Griffen getting time there as well

I think Sears starts at PG all season. Bradley will back him up until Q gets back, then we will see from there how it shakes out.

Personally, I see us, more times than not, playing a 3 guard lineup with Sears, Griffen, and Burnett getting the most minutes. Bediako will, obviously, get the most minutes at C, with Miller, Gurley, and Bridges, if he goes to Bama, rotating and playing the 4 and backup 5 spot. Just my guess. I still think we could use another good shooting combo guard.

Miller, Bridges, and Miles are guards that can play the 4 in our system. If we go Sears, Burnett, Miller, Bridges, Bediako I see that as a versatile 4 guard lineup with length.

I think Numari Burnette will open some eyes.

Bridges would have been a great get for sure. I like where we are at roster wise but interested to see how we close it out with bridges off the board

Maybe Gary will come back. I recently saw some of his pre-injury highlights and he was really dynamic. I had forgotten just how good he was during those times.
