14 months ago I weighed 205 pounds. I found out I was diabetic and was put on metphormin. My doctor said with dedication and hard work that I could "possibly" come off metphormin. I just weighed a minute ago, and I am currently 167.
Here's what I did: I cut out cokes. I cut way back on breads and sweets. Way back. I eat the sugar free pies that you can get at Kroger and Publix. That's about it. Coffee is black. Drink tons of water. Drink some orange juice about three times a week. Unsweet tea.....always.
Do I enjoy an adult beverage....I sure do...but I moderate. It is one just every so often.
When I eat....I eat a reasonable amount and stop.
Ok.....here's the big tip....start doing sit ups. At first you won't be able to do but 3 or 4 and it will suck. You will be disappointed, but keep doing it. Eventually you will increase.
Now I do 300 sit ups in the morning and 300 at night. I haven't missed in 3 months. I mix up free style sit ups with the use of a 20 pound medicine (slam ball) that you can get at Target or Wal Mart. The slam ball is an incredible assist in your endeavor to cut inches and weight.
I also use a resistance band. I use the 60 to 100 lb resistance band. it is all i need. it cost $13. The slam ball cost about $20. I am off metphormin. Good luck to yall. Also....walk and get back into cardio for 30 minutes a day. I'm playing tennis again after 20 years of not doing crap.
