Put up a 9/9 season in what looks to be garbage competition. Watched a few minutes of highlights and didn't see anything but dunks. Would it not be better to use that scholarship on a transfer with 50-60 D1 games under their belt?? Looks like quiet the project.

Most of these kids Bama signs are projects. Just did not realize a 5 star from Alabama ( JD) clearly fit that role.

He’s a guy that prides himself on being hard nosed. I have zero expectation of him becoming a well rounded player, but I think there’s a spot on the roster for a guy that is a very skilled rebounder and wants to do the dirty work

All of these kids are projects but with so many leagues paying money and now the transfer portal it's pretty dumb to think you're going to have any of these kids more than one year. I guess my thought is Oats is essentially giving a spot on next year's team to a rebounder. We'll see.

9/9 would be significant improvement compared to Gary, Rojas and Gurley. If he simply plays full speed with effort and a basketball IQ he's better than what we had plus we will have 2-4 openings for transfers.

I feel pretty confident in saying that both Gary and Gurley would do better than 9/9 per game facing that same level of competition. It was a real head scratcher to me when we signed him, as it was when we signed Rojas. I was right about Rojas. Hope I'm wrong about Pringle.

9/9 playing an entire game vs weak competition? Gary could go 9/9 vs SEC competition if he played enough minutes. We don’t need more guys that can’t shoot. We need shooters.

Id gladly take Pringle if he averages 9 rebounds a game. Our bigs combined last year were the worst rebounding bigs I’ve ever seen.

We aren’t going to run a 13 man rotation. Pringle will be in a battle for a role next year.. it’s not like we are bringing him in to give us 30 minutes and carry us down low. I think what he brings is a good guy to have on the roster even if he’s your 11th man. I think he’s a guy even if he’s not a regular in the rotation could get thrown in a game to bring energy and get after it. Not completely unlike Gary in 21

Does he bring more to the table than a Keon Ambrose-Hylton?

Admittedly I was high on Keon and still am a bit lost as to how he seemingly regressed from a big guy with emerging guard skills to a plodding bruiser that couldn’t get on the court, but it seems like Pringle has a long way to go to be a contributor.

Pringle is a tuff competitor . I don't know what you guys are seeing. he has helped every time he is in the game.

Pringle is a very solid player who brings a ton of energy to the team. He is improving each game on defense and does a great job on the boards. I found it interesting in the Missouri game that he played so much time guarding Kobe Brown. Nick is extremely athletic and can guard multiple positions. The best thing I like about Nick is alot of games if there is a loose ball, he's on the floor after it. When he's guarding a big for another team, they actually have to work to get position because he stands his ground. I could easily see Nick making a big contribution in the tournament against a team with a versatile big who can shoot from anywhere on the court. Last but not least, with Pringle it's kinda fun watching the guards trying to throw it up for him at the rim. It's not every game, but he has a role on this team.
