My wife met Fernando this morning ... the Jaguars had a lot of former players back for a re union and Jimmy Smith's induction into the Pride of the Jaguars.
My wife had on a Crimson Shirt with Elephants, not Alabama, and Fernando asked her if she was a Bama fan or just like elephants .. My wife said a Bama fan and Jaguars fan. She asked him how and he would not say he played for Bama or the Jags but a guy with him said " he used to be a big deal" and shared he played at Bama and with the Jags. My wife had never heard of him.
She asked which was a bigger deal and he said Roll Tide. She said he was VERY nice, polite and very humble .... Fernando -- Humble who would have thought.
Always good to see some of the old guys doing well.
